Adopt City Council Resolution Confirming the City Manager's Declaration of a Stage 2 Water Warning and Implementing Mandatory Stage 2 Water Conservation Measures
Summary
On June 28, 2021, the City Council introduced revisions to Chapter 14.06 (Water Conservation) to allow for more flexibility and discretion in establishing the various stages of water conservation and emergencies. At that same meeting the City Council adopted Resolution No. 4412-2021, implementing voluntary Stage 2 water conservation measures. Staff shared that the expectation was to officially declare a Stage 2 Water Warning upon the adoption and effective date of Ordinance No. 969-2021. The attached resolution transitions from voluntary compliance of Stage 2 water conservation measures to mandatory compliance under the revised Chapter 14.06 (Water Conservation).
