Adopt City Council Resolution Declaring Surplus Exempt Property - Noyo Center for Marine Science Parcel (APN 018-420-15)
Summary
The City Council previously approved a property transfer agreement to transfer an 11.64 acre parcel from the City to the Noyo Center fo Marine Science and authorized the City Manager to execute the agreement. Since that time, a change to State Law (Surplus Land Act) requires that the City make certain findings before transfer of the property. The subject Resolution finds that restrictive covenants placed by the Coastal Conservancy prohibit the development of the parcel for residential housing as contemplated by the Surplus Land Act and that it may be declared surplus exempt property. With this declaration, the property transfer can be completed.
