Adopt by Title Only and Waive the Second Reading of Ordinance No. 957-2019 Repealing and Replacing Chapter 15.06 (Automatic Fire Sprinkler and Alarm Systems) of Title 15 (Buildings and Construction) of the Fort Bragg Municipal Code
Summary
On January 13, 2020, the City Council of the City of Fort Bragg is to consider adoption of Ordinance No. 957-2019, said ordinance having been introduced for first reading (by title only and waiving further reading of the text) on December 9, 2019.
The proposed ordinance repeals and replaces Chapter 15.06 (Automatic Fire Sprinkler and Alarm Systems) of Title 15 (Buildings and Construction) of the Fort Bragg Municipal Code. The proposed ordinance satisfies the requirements of state law applying to local Building Code amendments, updating the City’s Automatic Fire Sprinkler and Alarm Systems requirements to reflect a reference to the 2019 edition of the Fire Code instead of the 2016 edition.
If adopted, Ordinance No. 957-2019 will become effective February 12, 2020.
