Adopt City Council Resolution Approving an Application for Funding and Execution of Agreement and Any Amendments Thereto from the United States Department of Agriculture’s Community Facility Grant Program
Summary
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) administers a grant program that provides funding through the Community Facility Grant Program to develop essential community facilities that provide necessary services to the local community. One of the priorities identified in the FY 2019/20 budget as shown in the Vehicle Replacement Plan for the Public Works Department is to replace one vactor truck, which is an eligible project under the USDA Community Facilities Grant Program. It is required that the Grantee (City of Fort Bragg) match 45% of the project cost of which $420,000 has been identified in the budget for FY 2019/20 of which $271,237.14 is needed. If awarded the vactor truck will be a usable vehicle and tool for the Fort Bragg Public Works Department. It is anticipated that if awarded, the vehicle would be purchased this fiscal year.
