Summary

On April 8, 2019, the City Council of the City of Fort Bragg is to consider adoption of Ordinance No. 945-2019, said ordinance having been introduced for first reading (by title only and waiving further reading of the text) on March 25, 2019.

The proposed ordinance repeals and replaces Sections 10.20.150 and 10.20.155 of Chapter 10.20 (Stopping, Standing and Parking) of Title 10 (Vehicles and Traffic) of the Fort Bragg Municipal Code, regarding the regulation of food trucks and sidewalk vending. The proposed change to the mobile vending ordinance: (1) increases flexibility in operating locations and times; (2) establishes a new permitting process to allow nearby business owners and residents an opportunity to provide public input on food truck locations; and (3) includes new standards that allow sidewalk vending (carts and tables) for food and merchandise in all commercial and industrial zoning districts as required by State Law SB 946.

If adopted, Ordinance No. 945-2019 will become effective May 8, 2019.
