Adopt City Council Resolution Establishing Rules of Order Pertaining to the Meetings of the City Council
Summary
On May 8, 2017, the City Council directed Finance and Administration Committee to consider options for rules of order for Council meetings. The Committee discussed the issue at its July 5, 2017 meeting. The matter was subsequently considered by the entire Council on September 25, 2017. The Council directed staff to modify Rosenberg's Rules of Order to allow Council discussion prior to public comments and before a motion is made. The attached Resolution formally adopts the Rules of Order.
