Adopt by Title Only and Waive Second Reading of Ordinance No. 934-2017 Amending Chapter 9.78 (Social Host Regulations) of Title 9 (Public Peace, Safety and Morals) of the Fort Bragg Municipal Code to Modify the Social Host Ordinance Prohibiting Consumption of Alcohol by Minors at Parties to Also Include Marijuana and/or Other Controlled Substances
Summary
On October 10, 2017, the City Council of the City of Fort Bragg is to consider adoption of Ordinance 934-2017, said ordinance having been introduced for first reading (by title only and waiving further reading of the text) on September 25, 2017.
The proposed ordinance will amend Chapter 9.78 (Social Host Ordinance) of Title 9 (Public Peace, Safety and Morals) of the Fort Bragg Municipal Code. This ordinance modifies the regulations prohibiting consumption of alcohol by minors at parties to also include marijuana and other controlled substances. Wherever consumption of alcohol is referred to in this Chapter, “marijuana and/or other controlled substances” has been added. This ordinance also amends the Chapter by adding definitions for “alcohol,” “marijuana,” and “other controlled substance.”
If adopted, Ordinance No. 934-2017 will become effective November 9, 2017.
