The fire sprinkler ordinance modifications include the following; 1) increases the remodel valuation amount to $75,000; 2) includes all repair, maintenance and remodel costs in the $75,000 valuation; 3) modifies, clarifies and standardizes the valuation process; 4) clarifies the approval and appeal processes; and 5) removes the requirement that businesses within the downtown core must install fire sprinklers within five years.
