Adopt by Title Only and Waive Further Reading of Ordinance 917-2015 Amending Chapter 3.20 (Purchasing, Procurement and Leasing) of the Fort Bragg Municipal Code
Summary
On July 27, 2015, the City Council introduced Ordinance 917-2015 which updates, clarifies, and simplifies the City's purchasing procedures. The new ordinance clearly establishes categories of purchases that are exempt from its regulations; it establishes the duties and authority of the Purchasing Officer, and it establishes purchasing procedures which vary depending on the amount of the expenditure. The Council made a few minor, non-substantive changes to the ordinance prior to its introduction. If adopted, the new purchasing ordinance will take effect on September 9, 2015.
