Reject Claim of Julian Davis Murphy
Summary
The City received a claim from attorney Stephen A. Mason on behalf of Julian Davis Murphy, and it was forwarded to Redwood Empire Municipal Insurance Fund (REMIF) for review and direction. The claim alleges "Wrongful death of Shane Allen Murphy, and associated personal injuries and damages arising from same." This incident occurred while Mr. Murphy was at the Mendocino County Adult Detention Facility.
REMIF's General Manager reviewed the claim and recommends that it be placed on the agenda for City Council rejection. A copy of the claim is attached for Council's review. If the claim is rejected by the City Council, the City Clerk will issue the proper notices and advise REMIF of the claim rejection.
