Adopt City Council Resolution Approving a Contract Amendment to the Fort Bragg Electric Town Hall Remodel Contract to Install New Front Glass Doors and an ADA Electric Door Opener at Town Hall (Amount Not to Exceed $20,146.02, Account #412-5501-0731)
Summary
On September 30, 2014, the City Council approved a contract with Fort Bragg Electric for the Town Hall Remodel Project, City Project No 2014-02. The contract included the glazing of the existing doors for increased sound proofing; however, the contract did not include an ADA electric door opener as the exiting doors could be adjusted to comply with ADA requirements. In the course of construction it was determined that the existing doors could not be glazed due their age and although the doors could be adjusted to be ADA compliant an ADA electric door opener would be consistent with other City facilities and provide easier access for those needing assistance. The FY 2014-15 Mid-Year Budget Adjustments included sufficient appropriations to fund this contract amendment.
