Title

Adopt Resolution of the Fort Bragg City Council Recommending the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors Execute an Amendment to the Caspar Transfer Station Operations Agreement and Lease, and Authorizing City Manager to Execute the Same

Summary

Treated wood waste (TWW) was historically accepted and handled as mixed solid waste. Due to changes in CA regulations, TWW must be handled, transported, and disposed of as a hazardous substance, which has increased the cost of collecting TWW. Redwood Waste Solutions proposed adding a rate for treated wood waste to the Caspar Transfer Station rate schedule. Both City and County have reviewed the proposed amendment to the rate schedule and are in agreement with the calculations and supporting documentation.
