Adopt City Council Resolution Adopting the City's New Personnel Rules and Regulations
Summary
Fort Bragg Municipal Code provides that the City Manager shall "prescribe such rules, regulations, and policies, as he/she deems necessary or expedient for the conduct of administrative services". The City's Personnel Rules and Regulations ("Rules") were last adopted on June 27, 2005 and, since that time, numerous changes have occurred in employment law that made the City's Rules outdated. In addition, as a result of the City's recent labor negotiations with the Fort Bragg Employee Organization and the Fort Bragg Police Association (hereinafter referred to as the Employee Groups) the City agreed to make certain changes to the Rules. Therefore, the Rules were updated with the assistance of the City Attorney and reviewed and accepted by the City's Employee Groups. Attached as Exhibit A are the updated Personnel Rules and Regulations which are intended to replace the Personnel Rules and Regulations that were adopted in 2005.
