Adopt City Council Resolution Approving Program Guidelines for the CDBG Code Enforcement Program
Summary
The City was awarded $447,749 from the 2019-20 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program to provide funding to implement a CDBG Code Enforcement Program.
Per State Housing and Community Development (HCD) regulations, the CDBG Code Enforcement Program must be administered pursuant to Program Guidelines that have been approved by HCD and then by the local jurisdiction. City Council adoption of a Resolution adopting the Program Guidelines is requested so the final guidelines may be released for launch of the program.
The Program Guidelines provide information about program specifics including program overview, program procedures, eligible use of funds, program administration, etc. This is a new Program in the City and the development and implementation of the Program will greatly increase City code enforcement activities.
