Summary
On September 30, 2014, the City Council directed staff to proceed with obtaining quotes for the replacement of the Council Dais and Town Hall Lectern. Staff prepared and posted a Request for Quotes. Two responses were received from two local wood-working businesses. The lowest quote was from Wood Joint Studio and their submittal is consistent with the basic design as presented in the Request for Quotes. Wood Joint Studio has significant local experience in the design and manufacturing of cabinets, furniture, doors and windows and is qualifed to complete this project. A Council's ad hoc committee reviewed the two proposals and recommended that the Wood Joint Studio proposal be accepted.
Funds for the manufacturing of the Dais and Lectern, as directed by Council, will be appropriated from the Waste Management Community Benefit Fund, which has a current balance of $210,500.
